Gem Trey Poindexter Graduates from Howard University

On Saturday, May 9th Mr. Trey Poindexter, the son of Charm Monica Fontenot-Poindexter (Houston Chapter) and the Grand Gem of Charm Lillie Fontenot (Houston Chapter) and Charmer Lewis Fontenot graduated in Howard University’s 147th Commencement Convocation in Washington, DC on the upper quadrangle of the University’s main campus.

Ursula M. Burns, chairman and chief executive officer of Xerox Corporation, delivered the 2015 Commencement address. The University also awarded honorary degrees to award-winning actor and director, Morgan Freeman; President of Spelman College, Beverly Daniel Tatum; and, philanthropists Eddie C. and C. Sylvia Brown.

Trey graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a minor in Sociology. He was active in many university organizations and clubs and has been offered several positions in NYC. Monica’s youngest son, Morgan Poindexter who is also in the picture, will be a senior at Howard University Fall 2015.
